I bought a used Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator #742501 at a local goodwill. The problem is I found out later that it can't be reprogrammed unless you have the same vehicle you had when you used it the first time. My problem is their is no way to get the same vehicle to reprogram it since I bought it used at a local goodwill. Is their another way to reset it without having the vehicle that was used from the start?

From what i understand these things are vehicle specific. If you want to use it on a different vehicle of the same application, you have to first return the original vehicle to the original calibration. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You probably know as much as we do. It is my understanding that these are not universal and are designed for specific makes and models. Are you sure you even have the right one for your vehicle? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

It is for a 2004-up Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Gas and 2006-up Ford Diesel. I have a 2005 ford F150 and it won't work.

Like I said, you already know as much as we do about that product. They claim you can download updates but i don't know if that will help you or not.

Goggle "How to unmarry Hypertech 742501" and there is a vid that will show you how to unlock it.
