I may have asked this awhile back . I want to buy a power probe . I work with school buses and wondered which power probe to go with . All diesel engines 2000 year models up to 2009 . Will this work with computer systems ? thanks

A power Probe will work on any system but it can also be very dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. Pushing that button at the wrong place can cost you a computer.

Depends on what you want to do with it. If you get the hook, it has more options than the III. I have the III and i'm happy with it. Go to their website and check them out.

If your going to test computer circuits, you should use a high impedance multimeter or lab scope. As HT stated you can fry a computer control module if you use it incorrectly. The main reason modules get toasted is because someone uses the power probe to power or ground computers' driver circuits either on purpose or by accident.

With DS. I have a power probe 3 and it works great. Also cant caution enough about using it on modern systems. It can save you lots of time an money or if you just go willy nilly sending power or grounding circuits that you havent either isolated or have verified that can handle it, it can cost you lots of money and time. Dont use one if you dont look at the wiring diagram first.
