Which tools would be the best?
|

I am taking a 2 year course in Automotive technology. I am starting off with Automotive Breaks and Manual transmissions. I need to furnish my own tools, and the teacher is obviously getting a kickback because he brought in a spokesman for snap-on tools who pretty much tried to bullSh!t us into going 5k dollars into debt for a basic starter tool set. I work at Walmart TLE, and Walmart sells stanley tools. I am also considering husky, Craftsman, harbor freight and kobalt.
I am hoping stanley will be good enough to last me through the 2 year course, mainly because I get 10% off. But for my second choice I'm torn between HF and Craftsman.
Which brand would YOU recommend?

Really, and automotive forum and nobody knows Sh!t about tools?
How about I just buy find a rock and stick and call it good enough?

Just some heads up. Not everyone is on here 100% of the time to answer questions. We do have families and our own lives to deal with.

And this answers the question why WalMart has a reputation for having idiots work there. They really do.
