Asking Price Sign In

Hello all,

I hope I am posting this in the right area. I'm really sorry if I'm not.

I am looking to buy a new car, and will be trading or selling my old car.

1996 For Mustang Coupe 2D, V6, 3.8L.

The Car runs great, and there is no rust. The paint needs work, but it is not chipped badly or anything, just fading in some areas.
There is one small problem. The odometer has stopped working. It stopped at 136500, but I think I would be 180,000 to 200,000 calculating what I drive for work and such. This is the only major defect in the whole car. To be safe, I used 250,000 as the millage when I looked up a price on

I guess what I'm asking is would this classify it as Good or Fair when I'm trying to see how much it is worth?

For Private Party value it was:

$2,135 for Good
$1,610 for Fair

I have a few interested people in the area around me, so I would like to give a fair price. I just had the engine worked on not too long ago as well, and I have all the records to pass on to someone who would have any questions. Would it be fair to try to sell it at a price in the middle, or should I stay with the lower end?

Again, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area, but I figured it related to it. I am not the smartest person in the world with cars, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I would split the difference if I were concerned about the mileage. Go around 1850 and see if there are any bites. You can always adjust down, not up.

Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

Smile Thank you! That's actually the price I was going to ask first on it.
