1996 Nissan Sentra turns over but wont start

I have a 1996 Nissan Sentra GXE with a 1.6 litre GA16DE DOHC engine. One morning it just wouldnt fire, It worked fine the night before and now nothing. I have replaced the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. Still no fire. I changed the fuel filter and checked the fuel flow through the new filter and it is pushing fuel. Not sure how to check the fuel injectors, but i can smell fuel when cranking it. I tried jumping it since I ended up running the battery dead through trial so maybe that plays into this situation. I'm out of ideas and I hope that someone with more expierence can help. Thank you in advance,

Might want to check timing belt. They'll usually take a dump when you shut the engine off. Also, check the coolant temp sensor and connection.
