Im using my buddies account...so he may post more than 1 vehicle but
im looking for more power im told you can do alot with the motor seems to get
up to speed to slow for me any ideals i have put new plugs plug wires a distributor cap in it
so far...and was wondering my air intake has 2 inlets running from the air intake wanting to put
a aftermarket intake any ideals on that to....

I think you'll find that anything more than just having it tuned up to spec will just be a headache and disappointing never mind in some places altering the original engine could make it illegal for use on public roads. If the truck is worth it I'd sooner find out if a lower ratio rear end was available then need to get the speedometer gears to match or it would read incorrectly or if automatic trans see if a "high stall" torque converter is available which was a way to get some more pulling power but either would lower fuel mileage.

Not worth messing with IMO. If you need more power buy a truck that came with a with a more powerful engine from the factory,

wanting more power from the motor and hate efi IMO how much work would u think it would take to turn into a carb im somewhat mechanically inclined very well just never tried converting a efi to carb

Back to a carb! NO, not a good idea. If you want to play with engines for power you have to get much older than this one. This is a 4.9 six - what do you expect out of it?
