I am trying to remove a lower ball joint on my 94 chevy silverado 1500 pickup. I tried using a ball joint press but it stripped the threads, it's really stuck/ rusty. Any good tips would be appreciated.

I’m assuming that this is a two-wheel drive truck and if so it should just press out. That being said I’ve seen people weld a replacement ball joint to the control arm, if the control arm has been stretched and not hold the ball joint securely on its own. If that’s the case start looking for a replacement control arm. One last thought if for some reason somebody has put in a specialty after market (off road) ball joint in this thing. There might be a snap ring under the dust boot holding the ball joint to the control arm? I know a lot of imports use such a snap ring. Dan. Canadian "EH"
