That is awesome.

$5 was a lot back then. How about that .01 stamp too....... How about the labor charge for complete engine and tranny... lol

Excellent pic of the car RT! Look at that again. Crank handle still in it? Windshield/screen has one wiper which was manual with handle to inside. Side lights are oil lamps and yes I own one but bet you aren't surprised!

Front and side are clear glass and rear is a 1/2 dollar size ruby prismatic type glass that makes a red glow just to indicate you were behind the thing. Made by D&J, Detroit, MI, patented in 1908 but had to have been used much earlier before motor cars at all.

Where do you plug in to read codes on that sucker?

Tom thats pre OBD I think they called it FIIK (F&^% If I Know system checks).

That is when our currency was worth something because it was based off the gold standard instead of the fiat system we have today. Now we are all just carrying around notes of indebtedness that ain't worth "the rag" it is printed on.

I wonder how much groceries were back then, if they had grocery stores?

They had grocery stores back then...I remember my parents and my grand parents complaining about $10 groceries etc..lol
Went grocery shopping yesterday $165 and still missed things and thats with membership card discounts. x2 monthly
