Sign In I had the codes on a 07 civic for low coolant temp. for a while . I changed the thermostat and when I started the car the CEL was gone . Sign In I did not , I was all ready to clear the code that was there for months and I'm pretty sure they were both pending and confirmed . When I got done I fired it up and they were gone . Sign In Pending codes usually don't light up a check engine light but by description pending means it is waiting for a second occurance of the problem before it sets an actual code.
