Loved it. Had all the stuff too. 12" singles that only radio stations got and probably 1,000s of them! LMAO went to Radio Shack as my "AMP" quit and not sure why yet. Nobody as ever heard of those??!!

Great guy at Radio Shack found one new and bless his heart he knew nothing about what I was talking about! I'm old but NOT that old!

How old are you?
Do you mean a radio DJ?
Or did you play DJ at venues??
What did Djing back in the day consist of?
DJ has a whole new implication these days lol.
Now it means some EDM listening, fist pumping, hair gelling dumbass.

Many acronyms mean more than one thing. "DJ" of the day only meant Disc Jockey as far as I know. Vinyl records, two or three turntables and a mixing board. Recording studios would make special 12" single records with just one song on each side given to radio stations. Many made it out or well duped but think legal for public purchase and most wouldn't as it's expensive for one song but the cut on the vinyl was at least twice as deep such that quality was tops and they rarely would skip.

Advantage is you could see the variations in the grooves of the vinyl and switch songs smoothly. Most of these were marked BPM = beats per minute such that you could play a few or many in a row non stop and not lose the flavor. Any flavor not just dance/disco but the whole range,
