Can a GM 10 bolt non-posi c-clip differential carrier be replaced with a posi unit?

Sure it can. The problem you are going to encounter though will be the match up of the ring and pinion if you leave the old pinion or the proper setup if you replace that also. It requires a lot of measurement setup and special tools to do it properly.

Thank you Hammer Time!!! I plan to change the ring and pinion as well. I am aware of proper place ment of the pinion, so I will have it done by a pro. I just wanted to do some research first. Thank you again!! Tom Nalley

You could probably get away with no set up if you reuse the same ring and pinion and all the side shims and just replace the cluster. Transfer the ring gear to the posi cluster.

No, this is not for a 4X4. I am restoring a 67 Camaro. I am wanting to use the factory installed rear end.The factory diff. carrier was broken and removed. So, I have an empty rear end with nothing but axles. [mad]

Your not butting in at all. I'll take all the info I can get. As far as Auburn, I have have seen that other people seem to like them as well. I have also checked on Eaton. not sure yet what I will go with, I have plenty of time to decide.
