hello and thanks for letting me join your forum
i am datonamanmike from fort lauderdale florida
i have a small shop that will try to fix just about anything
realy im just a retired guy who likes to tinker
but my shop is registured with state of florida
with a proper MV #
what i would like to know is this
i have a motorcycle left in my shop
a guy wanted fixed but couldnt pay
i havent heard from the guy for 3 years
i would like to get a title for this bike
i know i can get one with a machanics lien
but dont know how to do it
what forms??? procedure???
can some tell me the way to go about this ???
maby point me in the right direction???

You basically have to file a form with the clerk of court and send certified written notice to the party and after a specific period of time, you can apply to the court for title and it will be granted. There are a number of companies that will handle all this for you. It basically falls under the same procedures as construction liens except it's a lot easier to get title.
