Auto transmission/ manual TC

Recently the ATP light on my dashboard came on. It is only on when the transmission is in park. In the manual it says this should mean the transfer case is in nuetral while tranny is in park. I am sure the TC is engaged, tried it in 2H 4H and 4L, even parked on a hill and tried to roll it. I checked the connections of the switch and the continuity, and all seems to be working fine. I just wanted to see if there is any other reasons the ATP light would be on

Pull fuse 11 10 amp in the junction fuse block. Does the ATP light go off?

Scratch that.

The ATP relay should be energized with the transfer case in any position except for neutral with the ignition on. When the transfer case is in neutral the relay is denergized causing the contact to close to complete the circuit to the light if the transmission position switch is in park. The diagram I have shows the transmission position switch being in reverse to complete the circuit, but I think that is wrong.

Need to see if the relay is being energized.
