This is a debate that has gone on for years and likely will go on for many more. I have extensive experience in the tire business and my opinion is they should always be on the front. It is much easier to control a tire failure on the back than on the front. Many tire companies will prefer to put their new tires on the back but that is purely selfish as they will show less wear back there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

that's what I think also , if you're going to loose traction or have them slide out from under you I would rather have the backs fail , rain or snow , while you might not get going in the snow being able to stop or control things in a corner are more important , these guys say put them in the rear , they can do what they want

Internet ever wrong? No way it's perfect every time - LMAO! Put tires on drive wheels for traction if just two wheel drive - you didn't say. AWD you may have to do all four. The argument or better said "discussion" is as old as the hills. I personally would rather lose traction from the rear if driving along and magically have them switch if just plain stuck. In short they all should be in great shape and if rotating on time wear the same and avoid this dilemma totally, T
