transmission leak Sign In

Hi:
I bought a 1994 plymouth voyager runs great nice vehicle. It had been setting for more than two years when I bought it. My problem is the transmission is leaking. The relative that I bought it from says it was not leaking when he parked it. Sounds lile a dried out seal. Is there an additive designed to only restore seals with out affecting the rest of the transmission? Advise please.

There is no such thing as "mechanic in a can". All those sealers do is make all the rubber components swell. That is not a good thing for the transmission. Replace whatever seal is leaking and save yourself a lot of grief down the road.

Hi:

That was the advise that I was afraid I would get. Thanks anyway for taking time to respond.
