My trucks oil light comes on while at a stop and then goes off while I am moving and then i comes on when I put in reverse to back up and it also taps i just replaced the water pump can you please help me

Donna; Could be as simple as a low idle, faulty oil pressure sending unit, ect. Have the oil pressure tested with a guage. If it's okay, then just replace the sending unit. If the oil is dirty, thin, contaminated, change the oil and filter. If the engine got hot enough when the water pump went bad, it's possible, that it caused damage to the engine. Hopefully, not.
