Hi!

I have a 2009 Silverado 1500 LT1 Crew Cab. The driver side door stopped functioning when using the remote (i.e. a key less entry fob). I forgot to mention that the driver side door will also NOT open by the buttons on inside of the door. All other 3 doors will open using the remote or inside buttons. The driver side door lock opens fine only with the key.

I am not sure what is the issue. The actuator? Or is there some fuse somewhere that could be replaced and I can fix my truck? Can I fix this myself ?

Thanks
Nick

There are no fuses dedicated to one door. You will have to remove the door panel and test for power and ground arriving at the actuator.

Exactly as Hammer suggested for starters. Way too new for any first hand experience from me. Actuator is still a maybe and probably just some riveted in thing with a rod and can be tested in vehicle. Usually they are just two wires that reverse polarity for up or down and likely can unplug it from inside the door for testing.

Can't know but it might use huge rivets and a special gun that is very expensive - frequently hydraulic force gun for those. I know now the unit/item is not serviceable you just toss for new.

Seems too new to me for wiring thru door jam to have failed but who knows on that just yet either?

Gotta get in there to check it with both power and ground to watch it work separate of the controls IMO first,

T
