Brake pedal has been spongy since we bought the truck. Local mechanic told us that the master cylinder was going bad. Got in it to go to work one day and the pedal was spongy and not stopping until a certain point, then they would grab all of a sudden and stop hard (like it was about to throw you through the windshield). We changed the master cylinder (bench bled) and when we went to bleed the brakes, a back bleeder valve broke. It stayed that way until we changed both rear wheel cylinders a few days later. We bled the brakes, but they were still spongy. We bled the brakes again and the pedal felt nice and stiff, but was not stopping until the pedal suddenly sank down, then would stop like normal. We decided that there was still air in the system, so we kept bleeding them. Now the pedal is very hard to push. The pedal sinks and grabs slowly, but there is a hissing sound coming from the pedal as you are holding it. Also, when you hold the brakes, the engine revs up and rpms go up. Checked the suction on the booster, and it is good. It is an abs system. So now, we don't know if the abs system needs professionally bled, or if the vacuum booster is bad, or maybe we just need to keep bleeding them, or some other option we haven't thought of. We have used 4 small bottles of brake fluid and part of a big bottle so far. We can't drive the truck to a shop to get them bled professionally because the brakes aren't working properly. Any suggestions?

This truck has to be electronically bled using a professional scan tool.
