i have a 96 chevy 1500 4.3L, with 205K miles, just the last two days it sound like a had a exhaust leak under-neath the check light came on. then just yesterday she wounldn't start. Turn fine would catch a spark, I did finally get her to start but I can here the missing. I have change the Spark plugs last month. When I got her to start you can smell the fuel so no problem getting fuel to the carburator. I am looking at two different problem? or the all the same. intend to go under the hood tonight after work.

It doesn't have a carb. Smelling fuel doesn't mean much. Was making an exhaust leak sound or something with just having done plugs. Did one go shooting out? That would confuse the poor engine. Take a look and see if one is hanging from a plug wire, T
