I have a problem with my truck not starting, just the starting solenoid clicking. So I changed the solenoid and the starter. Still nothing. So I changed the battery. Now every time I try to start my truck. It looses all power. And I cant figure out what I have done wrong. Any advise is helpful as I am pretty green when it comes to mechanics.

OK - YOU said you were "green" at mechanics so I'll be more basic. Don't just go tossing parts rather test them or have them tested. This as you said can "lose all power" I take that as nothing electrical? There's a complete disconnect of POWER passing thru one of the cables. Ford for '96? May put solenoid on a fender well or on top of starter you didn't say which engine. The forgotten cable is battery's negative cable to engine block should be removed, cleaned, greased and reinstalled if good. Remember sport: Take negative post off battery before messing with cables and back on last when finished. You will lose computer memory, presets for things like clock, radio settings or set off alarms if equipped. Check ALL cables both ends of each - follow them. Charge battery with a charger or charge and have it tested new or not. New doesn't mean it's fully charged BTW! T
