1999
Ford
F150 ex cab 4x4
5.7 V8
122000 miles

To make a long story short, I bent the front end of the frame (no other body damage). Though the wreck did set off my airbags which cause a little damage in the cab. It's at a local repair shop and the estimate to get it fixed came out to around 6k. The insurance company gave the ok to replace the frame with a used one and fix the other problems. My question here is...should I be ok with a used frame? I've never had to deal with problems like this before and I'm just trying to get some outside advise. The truck is paid off and the estimate was about $1500 away from totaling it. My options here are...just let them fix it and deal with the used frame or have it totaled and collect the 5500 (6k - 500 deductible) and sell the truck?

Thank you for any help!

The used frame is not a problem as long as it doesn't have any damage already. Get a wheel alignment done when your finished.

Not to bother with more questions, but should the wheel alignment be assumed? This is the first I've ever had to deal with a situation like this.

Not sure what your asking the way you worded that question but yes, the wheel alignment should be done automatically with that kind of repair.
