'97 Dodge Dakota
4 Cylinder
5 speed, manual

I have a cracked head gasket, so therefore I am looking to replace the motor in this vehicle, and am wondering if anyone has a good suggestion for me. I would like to keep it a 4 Cyl as to keep the good gas milage, but want something that will give me more power than the stock motor that is currently in the vehicle. Any suggestions let me know. Thanks.

That's not something that you have a choice about. You have an operating system for one engine and one engine only. It's against Federal law to modify it anyway.
