We took our vehicle to a transmission shop. Week 1 they put in a new transmission - we paid and it has 2 yr warranty. Week 2 they could not figure out why we said it was still not fixed. Promised we would have by end of the week. Week 3 they kept promising it would be done in a couple days. One day we get "we know what the problem is" and then they have no idea. It doesn't help we have seen vehicle parked in lot majority of the time there. We have entered week 4. Started out with a promise we would have vehicle by Friday. They called today and said they took out the defective transmission they put . Week 1 and ordered new one. We should have vehicle by next Tues. This place was recommended to us but just learned this is common practice for them. Some have been forced to bring back numerous times in a matter of months b/c of the "warranty". My question: Now that they removed the transmission they put in on week 1, can I ask for my money back and have vehicle towed somewhere else. They get their parts back, I get my money back. Time and labor should even out due I've had to rent other vehicle for a month now. I DO NOT trust them any longer. What rights do I have to be a satisfied customer?

That's not an unreasonable request but you may be hard pressed to find a reputable shop willing to take over with things all apart. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
