I own a 2000 B-2500 Mazda Pick-up shortbed. 4-cyl. I need to replace the shocks and I'm looking for the best grade of shock to use for my application. I don't haul heavy loads or tow. Just basic general use. How do I determine the right shocks for my use?

jacalltrades; That's a really tough question. Almost like asking someone else to buy your pillows. It really comes down to personal preference. You can always go with OE type replacement shocks. Just about everyone that sells auto parts can get these for you. Even Sears. I would think that around $20 per shock should be close. If you want handling type performance, you can expect to pay a bit more. If you like a 'firm' ride, ect. Personally, I like KYB shocks. I like the handling aspect. I don't haul any weight to speak of, but do tow a trailer every now and then. Loren SW Washington
