I have the oppurtunity to buy a 1967 chevy stepside. Looks to be in decent shape, is primed and ready for paint. Was wondering about the ignition and if it could be switched out and have a 350 dropped in it. And I was also wondering about the brakes and if they could be switched with disc brakes. The truck is priced at 1500 but I can get it for 1000. Thanks Ladd

The aftermarket is full of conversion kits for what you mention. If you can score it for a grand do it. Might want the check out Summit Racing along with LMC. Both offer plenty in the way of what you want to do. Also check out some magazines devoted to the older trucks, if not for the articles than for the vendor contact info in the ads.
