Check engine light on? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved. nickwarner Veteran / Moderator May 20, 2012, 9:46 AM Post #5 of 7 (4020 views) Re: 1989 mazda b2600i 2.6 4 cyl loss of performence throttle hesitation Sign In EFI carb screws have a very delicate procedure to adjust and can cause the issue you have if not done properly. 1. muffler belt must be at proper tension and timed to 13 degrees advance at 60 degrees celcius 2. blinker fluid reservoir must be within spec and quality fluid used(I prefer Dr. Snake brand for my truck) 3. with the engine at idle, use a left handed metric crescent wrench and tighten screw to 15 foot-meters 4. back off 1/4 turn 5. if this procedure is followed exactly you will get 50mpg and the truck will never break down again. nickwarner Veteran / Moderator May 21, 2012, 8:27 PM Post #6 of 7 (3979 views) Re: 1989 mazda b2600i 2.6 4 cyl loss of performence throttle hesitation Sign In Its no fun to go fishing if there aren't any bites.
