Alternative Fuel Vehicles >> Electric Cars

The Think City Electric Car

It all started with Ford who bought Norway’s Think Nordic ASA but they lost interest in electric vehicles and sold off this company to a Swiss company and from there, it was bought over by Norwegian investors.

The product of its new venture is expected to roll out next year. The Think City Electric car incorporates brand new technology. The new battery technology that is being used has resulted in a driving range that has vastly improved from the generation before.

The Think City car is now operating on a Zebra battery that gives it a 110 km. range. Not only does the battery provide the Think City will an extended range, there are also other benefits that the Think City gets from the Zebra battery and they are: durability and charge density, not to mention zero emissions.

The Think City also has access to a vast road network and a motorway network just like a regular car, because it can reach a top speed of one hundred kilometers an hour. When you are driving the Think City around town, you will find that the car’s eye opening acceleration is what makes the car so fun to drive and a little hard to keep up with.

It’s a car that demands hardly any effort from you, which is about the amount of effort that you would put into using a mobile phone. If you take the time to plug it in at night so that it can get charged, it will be ready to go in the morning when you get up with a fully charged battery and of course 110 km ahead of it!

The best thing about this is that you get all of this for a fraction of the cost that you would pay for diesel or petrol.

The bottom line here is that the Think City is both simple and efficient. The mechanics that work on the Think City rarely ever change the overalls.

Because the Think City is a battery powered car, there will never be a time that you have to worry about changing the oil or having regular maintenance performed on the car. Plus, ninety percent of the energy that you put into the car is going to go straight to the ability to move the vehicle forward.

The car will include GPS, on-the-road WiFi and a media player. With more and more European countries offering tax waivers and incentives like no congestion charges or no registration fees, the time has come for cars like Think City.
