Aston Martin DBS

Aston Martin is set to release another powerful sports car. In fact, it's going to be the fastest car of the Aston Martin line to date. Billed as the 2008 Aston Martin DBS, the car will sport a very powerful and redesigned V-12 engine to ensure that uses the 510 horse power to the maximum level.

The new DBS will also feature the torque of 420 lb-ft. According to the manufacturers the car will have some features that will be based on the Aston Martin DB9.

As we have indicated the car will be the fastest car ever made by Aston Martin. It can easily reach up to 191mph or around 307kph. The car can easily accelerate from 0-62mph in mere 4.3 seconds. Before you know it, you are already way beyond the speed limit.

The car is being built in the company's headquarters in Gaydon, UK. As the Aston Martin Vanquish will be put out of production, the DBS will somehow replace the Vanquish. The car will also be as exclusive as the Vanquish - only 300 will be produced yearly and the price tag will most likely be the same as the Vanquish which could start at 260,000 USD.

Oh, and did we say that the 2008 DBS was used in the latest James Bond flick? The marketability of the 2008 will be a different because of its fame; the fame of the Bond will somehow be reflected in the car. But even without Bond, the car will most likely get a not from most car critiques.

On the outside of the DBS you will notice that the wheel was significantly enhanced. The air vent at the back is now bigger compared to previous DBS which means a powerful engine is packed inside it. It even got more of the aerodynamic feel as the edges of the car will seem to slide the air really easy.

Inside, the car will be donning a black and gray look. The central panel will feature something different. Instead of the modern feel of giving you touch screen panel and interactive dashboard; the central dial will have simple buttons and silver plated clock. That will add to the simplicity of the car but will be packing power comparable to no other Aston Martin.

While we let Bond take all the glory in riding the DBS way ahead of us, we will now have the same car when it will be released in the early months of 2008.
