Will there be more cars with more fuel efficient engines and gas tanks? Mike Corbin, the designer and founder of the 3-wheel Corbin Raven, originally made a similar type of vehicle in 1999. Unfortunately, only a miniscule amount of his cars were sold between 1999 and 2002 before his company decided to go bankrupt. But that car that he sold during those years, known as the Corbin Sparrow, was sold to another company in Ohio called NmG.
At NmG they have improved the vehicle and have made it so that a person can drive for 1000 miles on only $20 worth of electricity. If things heat up enough in the automobile industry we just may see other automobiles start popping up that will have plenty of other benefits as well.
But as for the Corbin Raven there is plenty to talk about. The actual automobile-motorcycle mixture looks like it has a motor like a genuine motorcycle, but then has a comfortable seat and cover for a person to ride in. All the functionality of a regular four-wheeled vehicle is delivered except for the fact that it's classified as a motorcycle.
What that means is that it gets better gas mileage and less wear and tear on the vehicle while driving down the road. The Corbin Raven is even a front-wheel drive vehicle, or at least it appears to be so, which means that it’s safer for drivers apprehensive about riding this motorcycle-type car. But some things are actually left un-previewed about the vehicle and there are some important issues things left out that are still questionable.
For example, nobody knows for sure whether or not heating and air conditioning will come as a standard feature. Windshield wipers will also be a mystery as none have been seen on the prototype of this motor vehicle.
Nevertheless, Mike Corbin is going to increase in popularity once again once the Corbin Raven 3-wheeler hits the market. Hopefully it debuts in the United States soon before more and more people are left high and dry from the expensive gasoline prices that they're not able to purchase one.
This motor-vehicle is an excellent all-around transportation motorcycle and will have some definite implications for the future model of automobiles.
