Ford Kuga Concept

The Ford Kuga Concept is a concept car set to be released in 2008. This type of car will be the first to be produced in Europe as opposed to all Ford products built in USA. At first glance, Ford Kuga Concept has little difference to the existing commercial model of Ford Kuga SUV.

Because of this, the concept car is also based on the Iosis X Concept that was first presented to the public in Paris in 2006. The SUV will be one of the cars of Ford that will be sporting a "kinetic design" look.

The term "kinetic design" is now a common term in Ford SUV referring to the sleek look of the SUVs. If you take a look at this type of cars, "kinetic design" just means that it has a potential to drive smoothly through better aerodynamics.

The design of the car will let the air slide through. The driver will then have an easier feel of the cars they are driving, giving more efficiency and power.

The body of the Kuga Concept car will also feature a split tailgate. This will ensure easier access for wider objects to be placed inside the car.

Under the hood, Ford Kuga Concept will be powered by 2.0-litre 136 PS, Duratorq TDCi diesel engine. This engine is one of the admired engines being put in production as it offers gas efficiency and power at the same time.

The cars that will be placed in production will have a 4WD and Front Wheel Drive functionality. This means you could either have one that is urban friendly or another that can trudge the mud and show power in the off-road scene.

Aside from the ergonomic features and entertainment that goes with it, Ford Kuga Concept will feature a rear view using the 7' monitor. This is perfect for backing up and looking at the cars that are following during the heavy traffic.

The Ford Kuga Concept was first displayed to the public eye during the 2007 Frankfurt Car Show. The biggest car show on earth is, of course, the proper place to show one of the best SUVs that will be rolling out the market.

The success of the Ford Kuga basically takes it roots from the concept that was first applied in Ford Focus. Ford Kuga Concept captures the imagination of SUV designers and fulfills the need for power and speed of car enthusiasts.
