Let’s take a look at the Intima's exterior first. It has hinged doors, front and rear lights that have a crystal like look about them and there’s something about the car that is so well designed. It speaks of elegance, of sophistication, of comfort.
In this car, organic panels and sharp-edged lines come together in one harmonious whole.
The superior quality is visible in the wheels and the grill, augmented with the subtle glow of the chrome finish. All the outside embellishments on the Intima carry this mark of understated elegance.
The interior of the Intima matches the outside. It is elegant and so very stylish with easy-access 80° swivel chairs. The whole first entrance into the car is an invitation – to wallow in its elegant comfort.
There is a lot of room – both legroom and headroom, both in the front as well as the back. The large glass roof above and the wide windshield amplify this effect, making for a wonderful view outside. It all adds up to a very relaxing drive.
As the Chief Designer Kinichi Saito explains, The Intima is a car for those who have arrived, for people who want to now spend time in a relaxed, elegant environment. So you have large door arm rests and door assists.
The center console has a wave pattern and the instrument panel almost floats ethereally between the wood grain panels. The lighting is understated and soothing and comes from the center console, the instrumentation panel, the ceiling, the door trims and the door assists.
The air-conditioning is four-zone and can be controlled by each passenger. There’s also a grape seed polyphenol filter to neutralize allergens and pollen.
The Intima has a V6 clean diesel engine that is quiet and clean with safety systems like the DCAS or the Distance Control Assist System and the Around View Monitor which are based on Nissan’s Safety Shield concept.
You’ll find the drive in the Intima, when it does roll out on the road, almost noiseless. Everything that has gone into making and designing this car seems to be to make for those who know and value their cars.
