Toyota IQ Concept

The Toyota IQ Concept was created at the European Design Studio, ED2. This innovative concept is based on a philosophy that is referred to as Vibrant Clarity. Using what is known as the J-factor or Japanese Aesthetics, Vibrant Clarity involves creating cars that are in harmony and balance.

While Vibrant refers to energy, Clarity refers to reason or rational, putting the two together creates a new design that is both energetic and reasonable or practical.

The Toyota IQ Concept combines the vibrancy of the modern day European with the clarity or reasonableness found in a vehicle that is not only well organized and competent, but one that is friendly to the environment as well.

The result is a small efficient mini car that offers an incredibly sleek exterior, with high tech gadgets to keep modern conveniences at the forefront.

The first thing you may notice regarding the Toyota IQ Concept is that the doors are oversized compared to the length of the car, which is roughly three meters.

You’ll also notice that the width of the car stands out considerably from the length. When compared to other Toyota models, the Toyota IQ Concept is smaller than both the Yaris and Aygo.

The new dimensions are the perfect expression of Vibrant Clarity and are making it a quick favorite with metropolitan and suburban drivers worldwide. Since the car is a mini, you may assume that you would feel small or cramped, but the extra width gives the feeling of plenty of room. It truly is a wonderful way to maximize space while keeping the car small and compact.

The Toyota IQ Concept is so exceptional that everyone is anxiously awaiting its release, which is expected to be in the year 2009. The innovative size will seat three people, and occasionally four.

The dashboard is designed in a manner that is asymmetrical. This allows for the front seats to be side by side. However, when seating a fourth person in the back, you can pull the front seat forward, allowing easy access for an additional person in the back. The +1 or additional passenger is assumed to be a child.

The Toyota IQ Concept embraces environmental issues and protection due to its small size. It is believed that due to its size, it will require less energy to operate, therefore being a more earth friendly vehicle.

There is no doubt that the sleek lines of the Toyota IQ Concept will endear it as one of the most trendy and upscale vehicles. It looks nearly futuristic with its clean and precise lines.

You’ll find that the interior maximizes space use and consists of many space saving features. However, it may just be the use of color that enhances the urban feel of the car.

The car is a pearly iridescent white with hints of purple reflecting through. The car also has a very nice geometric feel, which also adds to its appeal.
