I have a 1998 Toyota T100, the blower motor has been making an awful noise for over a year and I finally can't stand it anymore. I figured it was just leaves in there so I took it out to clean but it wasn't. The actual motor is rattling inside the housing and the plastic fan is almost warped and rattling too making some awful noises. Any thought on rigging this to be smoother rather than buying a whole new motor since it still blows fine in all 4 positions. Any thought are good thoughts. Thanks in advance.

What's the big problem? It needs a new blower and squirrel cage, T

If you really dont want to spend the cash. You can re-balance, although you probably will still get some vibration. Hang cage so it's horizontal, Allow to spin freely, mark low spot, add wht to opposite of mark. Continue till cage stops in different locations every time.

That's nonsense. It's not just a balance problem. The bushings are shot and the armature is bouncing around. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
