ive got a 2004 mitzu.. outlander 2 wheel drive with squeeking rear joints. i was sucessful at removing 1 lower shock bolt. the bolts on every other flex point were frozen in place. i managed to get the nuts off but even a ball joint press wouldnt budge them. i loosened the top of the shock and sprayed some lube oil in but nothing has worked yet.

I'm a little confused on what you are trying to do here. in the 1st sentence it looks like you want to change u-joints but in the 2nd you're trying to remove the shocks??? You do realize to do u-joints, you only need to unbolt the flange @ the rearend & unbolt the carrier bearing to R&R the driveline.... I see you are in the rustbelt so it's even tougher..........PB Blast works the best.........

this is a front wheel drive suv. im in the REAR. i dont remember saying anything about U JOINTS. maybe im looking in the wrong direction.
