My problems started when I replaced a blown head casket. Since then I have replaced all sensors and even had it looked at by a reputable mechanic who tried a new ignition control computer put the problem persists. Heres the problem, when the engine is cold the truck will start and run fine after it heats up the engine speeds up and won't races when stopped forcing you to ride the brake (almost like the throttle is sticking). Other times, you'll be driving along and it will just cut out on you or stall. I have come to the conclusion that there must be a short but I don't know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Take a look at the idle speed motor and wiring. It holds idle up a bit for cold then back to normal fairly quickly and will cover the load of like A/C being on. If the motor itself sticks or is broken it may not set off a code but should in time for any reason an engine is behaving poorly. A lot of stuff gets moved and disconnected to replace a head gasket and lots of connectors and things don't do well as the connectors get brittle -- things like that and may not be making a good connection. I did find 1 bad connector and a couple things that were connected wrong. But did not know about the idle speed motor.
