Heyas, I have a 74' Datsun 260z that stopped running all of a sudden while I was driving. After checking the connections and moving everthing around I got it to start but it died again after a few blocks. I towed it home and since I have replaced the plugs, wires, distro cap, rotor, coil wire, igno coil. And checked most of the connections with a ohm meter. THe coil has 12v going in but does not spark againt the chasis when I'm turning it over. I believe it is somethiong before the coil? But of so I have no idea where or what it could be. If any of you have any ideas of what to check next reply and/or shoot me an email at savoxis@gmail.com Thanks
Z

Points OK? That and distributor bearings way off. Just wiggle the rotor at the dist. and see if it will change the point gap much for starters. Hit back if needed we can go deeper into this, T

it has an electronic ignition, I think it might be the transistor ignition unit.... a large black box under the dash. They are quite expensive and my chiltons says the only way to test them on a 74' is to go to a dealer
