Earlier today my brake lights just turned on and now won't turn off. I've tried everything I can think of, the only thing I can do is unplug the fixture or take out the fuse so my battery won't drain. What the heck is wrong with my car?

I agree, start there. Since it happened when you pushed the brakes, that is most likely the problem.

Thanks all for the help but I located the problem. It was the rubber stopper above the brake pedal, it dried out and cracked so I rigged up a replacement piece and it works now.
