I have a problem with my idle jumping to 2000+ rpm's when I push in on the clutch to stop. After stopping, in a second or so, it will drop back down slowly to proper idle speed, OR if I push the accelerator to take off, it goes down to normal also. Changed air filter, checked spring loaded air intake, but no help there. This evolved over about a week, and I don't see any vaccuum leaks. What do I look for next?

Speed has some good points about checking your grounds & connections.... You may want to have the codes read to see if there is any stored codes. Also clean the throttle body to make sure nothing is sticking there. Get a can of throttle body clean, little brush, have someone hold the throttle open & clean it real good. Starting it every once in a while so you don't flood it out or even hydro lock it. You would never spray a whole can down there without starting it up. Probably after every 4 or 5 squirts, start it up and then spray some while its running, you'll have to feather the throttle.....
