1989 chevy cavaliar z24 fuel pouring into air filter. wont start now. I really need someone who knows what thier talking about. Took car in to have power stering pump replaced, the stering column and ign switch replaced and a break line replaced. And after all that i had to buy many more parts about $700 in parts and now fuel is gushing out into air filter.

Sounds like you should have looked for someone that knew what they were doing before this. I have no idea what could be going on without seeing it. Your going to need a lot better description of the situation than that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thank you so much for responding. Ok i had the power stering pump replaced, stering column, ign switch and all the brake lines and fuel lines replace. Then i was told i needed a starter solenoid because it wouldnt start. Now keep in mind the dang thang drove when i took it to this garage. I started it with a screw driver and drove it there. Then i was told i needed a idel contol valve because it wouldnt stay started, then i got the car back and drove it for 2 days and then a half tank of gas went to no gas at all. When i popped the hood the fuel injuctor was wide open pouring gas into the air filter. I had it towed back to the shop. Now im told i need a fuel pressure regulator, fuel injector o-rings and upper intake manifolds. Ok i went bought those parts. I thought it was all good after the second time i picked it up. Well i picked it up it drove fine for 2 days again and now the damn thing is gushing fuel again. Two different times it was drove for 2 days and each time the 2nd day it wont start and gushing gas. Are these IDIOTS missing something? THANK YOU for you help..

They appear to be just very incompetent to say the least. I don't know what i can do to help you besides tell you to find a different mechanic. I don't know what they screwed up now with the fuel leak.
