My air condition works. After I pump about 4 recharge cans into it, it'll last about 3 months before it runs out. So is it possibly just a bad O ring leaking somewhere or what? 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L V8 4x4 1/2 Ton SLT Laramie 132,XXX miles

Not very likely at all. The only way O-rings get damaged is during assembly. Those trucks are notorious for leaking evaporators and the entire dash has to come out for that. If you continue running it low as you have been, you can add a compressor to that also because it will be ruined if it isn't already. Being penny smart and dollar foolish could ultimately cost you a couple thousand dollars before your done. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I'm just not going to worry about it then unless I ever decide to sell it, which is unlikey. Thank you very much for the information.

The longer you do this, the more damage you are doing to the system.
