Hi, I hope someone can help us. We have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.8 motor Our son was driving it home from work, stopped at the store, went back into the car and it would not start. He said he did not notice anything wrong while driving (not surprised!). Anyway, we tried the battery, which is only about 18 to 24 months old, that was okay, starter was taken out and tested, apparently that is okay too. Pulled the fuses behind the glove compartment and under the hood. Still does not start. The lights are working, the dashboard lights light up. Anything else I can do? Any and all help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Why on Earth would you expect removing fuses to help the car start?

Someone is going to have to troubleshoot the starter circuit with a test light. Try starting it in neutral instead of park too. Power leaves the ignition switch on a yellow wire to the neutral safety switch and from there to the starter on the purple wire.

Thanks for your help. We tried starting from neutral, did not start. Replaced the neutral safety switch and still nothing. Any other adivce? What else could cause it not to start?

Yes, diagnose it from a wiring diagram as instructed.
