2007 Chevrolet Silverado WT Classic - 6 Cylinder - 60K Miles 2007 Silverado WT Classic 6 Cylinder. 60K Miles I drove my truck with no problems over the weekend. After sitting a couple of days. When I tried to start it, it was trying to turn, but wouldn't. You can hear the fuel pump kicking on. After getting it started it was missing alot. The working theory was I got some bad gas. Diagnostic stated it was miss firing on Cylinder 6. Replaced the plugs (it was time anyways). It started much smoother this time, but was obviously still missing. Diagnostic this time stated random misfires. Going with the Bad Gas theory. I filled up with fresh gas (was at 1/3 tank) and added STP Additive. Drove it around the rest of the day, with only occasional misfire. After the truck sat for a couple of days again, it is now back to original problem of not cranking. Still going with the bad gas theory. Per recommendation I had a bottle of heet. Still unable to crank. Is there a way to check whether it is getting fuel? Any suggestions on what to do next? I'm trying to avoid having it towed to a shop.

Not cranking or not starting? It would crank/turn the engine if just bad gas. You may just have an original battery and vehicle could be made in later 2006 - ?? that's enough on 'bout any battery, connections IF NOT CRANKING AT ALL. Other testing if it is cranking but just doesn't start or run properly, T

you need to take a fuel pressure reading using an accurate gauge. This truck requires a minimum of 55PSI to run right. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

It may still be possible that pump is going bad or filter is clogged?

I don't know. Did you read the fuel pressure as I suggested? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
