I have a 2008 nissan xterra, 68568 miles It wouldn't start so I had it towed to a mechanic who said the problem was the fuel pump, changed at $856.00. The car still wouldn't start. Then he said he had to replace the relay switch. Car still wouldn't start. Now he say the computer is bad. What should I do. I feel he doesn't know what he is doing or he is taking advantage of me....

I believe you are right. The mechanic is shotgunning parts and isn't actually troubleshooting the problem correctly. You should take it to another shop that specializes in imports or to the dealer for proper diagnosis. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Thanx, I think I will cut my losses, pay him, report him to BBB and AAA and take my car to the Nissan Dealer.
