90 integra - crank no start (sometimes) Sign In

I have a Red 90 Acura Integra 1.8L 2door and it has a gremlin. I have only owned it a few months and have had no problems with it until this weekend. My wife went out to start it on Friday and it would not start, cranks fine - no spark. Cap rotor wires and plugs were replaced when I bought vehicle, ditributor and coil look new, but I was getting no spark. Sunday I went out to mess around with it and it started right up and has been starting fine ever since.
So the question is - What would cause an intermittent no spark condition? Is there a common sensor failure (cam, crank, ECM???) for this particular car?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Intermittent problems are real hair pullers!! I would take a good look at all the wiring that makes spark which is a lot of stuff. Try not to over crank when it fails as you'll just add a starter motor to the fix. These thing would be easier to fix if they stayed broken!! Hard to trust a repair until it never does it again for some good while like that, T

Amazing what a little research will do. I found out that the Main Relay gives these honda/acura's problems. You can replace it for $50-60 or take it apart and solder the joint that was weak (i resolderd all to be sure). Only time will tell.

I hope the solder holds up for you. Also thanks for posting the fix.
