92 mazda mx6
ive been having problems with my car dying it only happens occasionaly for example i drove to work today and it drove fine on the way home it died twice if i let it sit for 2 minutes it starts back up also i had it in park idleing at 800-1000 rpms and all of a sudden it jumped to 2200 without me touching the gas then dropped to 200 then back to 2000 then died completly this has also happened a few times the engine light is not on what could be wrong? the battery and altenator are good please email if you can help bea9919@aim.com

Sounds like Idle / air control motor.

bea; Agree, does sound like a IAC problem. But, check coolant level. If the CTS (coolant temp sensor) isn't in contact with coolant, can also cause your symptoms.
