Hi, I have a 98 Ford Explorer that has been sitting in my driveway for about 2 years, undriven. I was hoping someone could help me out with an estimate of what I'm looking at to get it running again?

prob going to need a new battery or fresh charge on the one in there. clean the terminals well. try starting the car... if car has a hard time staying running youll have to drain and replace the gas with fresh gas. __________________________________________________ 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 Ford Ranger 2004 Toyota Corolla 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

Well the car doesn't even start, and the engine makes no noise at all when I try to start it...

Before you do get this turned over, would be a good idea to change the oil, pull the plugs and put a few drops of oil in each cylinder. Also get the air intake apart to look for mouse nests so you don't suck a nest down your intake. Two years is plenty of time for the little devils to set up shop.

This is good advice. Only thing I'd add is to put a few squirts of oil in each spark plug hole and turn it over by hand a dozen times. Then with the fresh battery crank it and blow all that crap outta there before putting the cleaned, gapped plugs in.
