Hi All, I just wanted to get some opinions on what my problem may be. I am on my second battery in my 04 Acura TSX. First battery replacement was in mid 08. Currently using a Diehard gold. About a month ago i noticed slow starting. I figured it was almost time for a new battery. So after letting the car sit for a few days I went out to start the car and it would not start. The next day i pulled the batt and took it into sears. They tested it and re-charged and told me the batt was fine. So i came home put it back in the car and cleaned the terms. There was a lot of blue build up. This was about a month ago. So today I go out to start the car and nothing. Dome light will barley come on. Up until today it has started normally and everything seemed fine. Just wondering if this might be a battery issue, alternator or possible something else? Thanks for the help!

I would have someone beside Sears test the battery. They seem to thing their battery can't go bad. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks HT. That is kind of what i was figuring. I was going to say screw it today and just get another battery, but i hate to do so if it is really not the issue.

Could be a battery issue, connections at it or elsewhere, charging problem or a parasitic drain. IMO - four years on a battery is not unusual and sometimes you can get a bad new one, T

That blue build up on the cable ends can cause a lot of problems . You need to get all of it off. If you have a side post ,take the mounting bolt out of the rubber holder. clean the hidden gumk inside it. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH
