So, the other night I was driving home, and my car just shut off on me. The engine, oil, and battery lights came on. The car started back up fine. Day before yesterday, after having to get the battery jumped for the dozenth time, it did it again. After a little while, it started back up. This morning, it wouldn't start. There was a buzzing noise by the battery (not the battery itself). I changed the battery, it started right up several times. Tonight, the car shut off again. Wouldn't start back up, and the buzzing sound was back. I was in a parking lot, and a very nice gentleman checked for me, wiggled a wire near the black connector for the battery (a little wire with a grey box on it) and the buzzing stopped. The car started right up. 5 minutes later, it shut off again. No amount of wiggling on my part would make the buzzing stop. While it's buzzing, the car won't start. PLEASE HELP...I have no idea what it could be, since I'm automotively illiterate, and I can't get it to a mechanic until it starts...

I forgot to mention, if it helps, that this is a 1994 Ford Taurus with a V6 engine

Sounds like you have a bad connections at the cable connections. Have someone remove and clean them with a wire brush. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
