Corolla won't draw power Sign In

Been trying to fix my brothers 95 Toyota Corolla but a problem has me completely stumped. I was recently test driving his car after we replaced his tires but 1 mile down the road the car just completely died. Nothing would turn on, no dash lights, no starter, nothing. So I swapped out his battery with the one from my car and we were able to get home. But once the car was turned off it would not start again. The dash lights were dim and the windshield wipers took a good 2 minutes to make one swipe. The only way we could get it to start was by jumping the battery but no matter what we did as soon as we turned the car off it would not start unless jumped. But what puzzles me is that the battery works fine in my car but his seems to not want to pull power from any battery we put in it. I'm not sure where I should begin looking for the problem so I am hoping for a little guidance. Thanks.

First thing to do is take batt and alt down to parts house and have both fully tested.

Check the alternator. Most shops will do it for free.
