Cruise control problem

Hi; I have a '04 Dodge Ram 1500 w/5.7. The cruise control won't turn on when the ambient temp is below 65F. I, first, replaced both the steering wheel mounted switches. The BOO switch tested good. No DTCs. After driving for about 10 mins, then shut-down, wait for under hood temp to increase, cruise will work the rest of the day. However, if I leave in the am and drive 30 miles in cold weather, it still won't turn on until after shut down for a few minutes. Any ideas? Thanks, Loren

is the throttle body have cable linkage or is it electronic? maybe a long shot here, but if its cable, inspect it to make sure something isnt binding up when its cold and when the materials expand under the higher temps it releases it. __________________________________________________ 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 Ford Ranger 2004 Toyota Corolla 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

No, the 5.7 doesn't use a servo. PCM controlled. Driving me nuts! (short drive, though) Loren SW Washington
